Piper Sandler is currently seeking interns for Summer 2026 in our Technology Business Line. These individuals will work directly with our Data Science team in Minneapolis, MN. Our human capital, technology, marketing and other corporate support teams work with our business partners to maximize each employee. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant coursework or projects in data analysis, machine learning, statistical modeling, or software development.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, or R.
• Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.
• Familiar with machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g.Tableau, or Power BI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willing to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Nice To Haves

• Any cloud experience is plus.
• Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git or Aruze devops) is a plus.
