About The Position

Five Star Bank’s Summer Associate Program is designed to develop the next generation of financial services professionals to help us advance our vision of being an independent, high-performing community bank. As a Marketing Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting a variety of marketing initiatives that enhance Five Star Bank’s brand visibility, promote its products and services, and strengthen its community presence. You’ll support the Marketing team across key functions including campaign development, digital marketing, content creation, and event coordination.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Candidates must be available to work a hybrid work model, 40 hours per week for the duration of the program starting in June.
• Intern's home office will be in Warsaw. Occasional travel within corporate footprint (Buffalo and Rochester) will also be required.
• At least 1 year in one or more club(s), volunteerism efforts, or other activities outside of the classroom
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Interest in marketing
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail
• Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example and serve in every facet of work.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media platforms
• Support the creation and editing of marketing content for both internal and external communications
• Help track and analyze marketing performance metrics to inform reporting and strategy
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate community events, sponsorships, and engagement initiatives
• Conduct competitive and market research to support campaign planning and brand positioning
