The Process Engineering Co-op will report into the Engineering Operations Department, Process Engineering, 2K Value Stream. This department is responsible for the support/scale-up of production processes, facility/equipment maintenance, and facility/equipment design. The Process Engineering Co-op will work to support the 2K Value Stream in day-to-day tasks as well as aid in the development of strategic initiatives. The Process Engineer Co-op will be responsible for assisting with implementation of new equipment applications, testing and evaluating process improvements, and providing support to the 2K Process Engineering team for successful technology transfers. There will also be opportunities to participate in risk assessments, develop understanding of safety and quality standards, and optimize productivity of the Process Engineering team.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the 6 month co-op (June ~ December 2026).
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS degree program.
  • Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with P&ID’s and equipment drawings.
  • Self-motivated & goal-oriented, continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate in teams, and critical thinking.

Benefits

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses.

  • This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer.
  • In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.
