About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to support our Global Payroll and Accounting functions. This role provides hands-on experience in payroll operations, accounting entries, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple countries. The intern will gain exposure to global payroll processes, accounting controls, and automation initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficient with systems and technology; strong aptitude for learning new tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available to work from Tuesday May 26th until Friday August 7th.
  • Be at least 17 years of age prior to scheduled start date
  • Be currently enrolled at an accredited institution
  • Be enrolled at an accredited institution the semester immediately following the summer internship program (Fall 2026)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring accurate salary calculations, variable payments, and payroll adjustments.
  • Support verification of employee payroll deductions, including taxes, social contributions, and benefits.
  • Work with ADP and Human Resources to help ensure payroll processing complies with local laws and regulations across multiple countries.
  • Maintain proper documentation for payroll processes and compliance audits.
  • Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Support preparation of payroll-related journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple countries.
  • Assist in ensuring appropriate accounting treatment of payroll transactions in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in monthly close activities related to payroll accounting.
  • Participate in automation initiatives and payroll process improvement projects.
  • Support the implementation of an employee payroll portal leveraging AI to:
  • Automate responses to common payroll-related questions.
  • Enable employees to use self-serve and access payroll information.
  • Provide structured submission processes to streamline payroll inquiries and documentation.
  • Work cross-functionally with Accounting, Human Resources, payroll providers, and global business teams.
  • Communicate proactively with team members to resolve issues efficiently.
