About The Position

Our client is a design-build contractor that specializes in federal healthcare projects on military installations. They serve across the nation and are headquartered in Reston, Virginia. They are a dynamic organization with great customers and a culture where people are valued and empowered to deliver amazing results. They have an immediate need for a full time Superintendent to execute a large roofing project at Fort Gordon in Richmond County, GA. Your impact in this role will be huge as you will be working on a healthcare facility (hospitals, clinics, labs, and pharmacies) that directly serve active duty military service members, veterans, and their families! Work Schedule, Expectations, and Travel Expenses Covered: Your permanent residence can be anywhere in the United States, however travel to the project location at Fort Gordon will be required. The work schedule is onsite 5 days per week at the project's location. Our client has projects all across the United States and this employee will be responsible for traveling to execute one project at a time. In addition to a six figure salary, you will have a company credit card to cover all of your travel, rental car, lodging, and food expenses while you're working.

Requirements

  • Positive attitude
  • Responsible, accountable, and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with hospital and healthcare projects.
  • Experience with design-build a plus
  • Experirence with USACE projects a plus
  • Proficient in Primavera, Microsoft Project, Procore, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Bluebeam is required.
  • Relationship management with government stakeholders
  • Supervision of subcontractors & vendors
  • Construction trade skills a big plus
  • MEP Engineering a big plus

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design, review process.
  • Oversee construction lifecycle, from mobilization to close-out.
  • Prepare, manage, and update project schedules to ensure timely project completion.
  • Review submittal and RFI’s, including subcontractor submissions, for accuracy prior to submission to owner or designer of record.
  • Act as lead for pre-construction and pre-planning activities to ensure project is completed in accordance with the contract documents and within budgetary constraints.
  • Project documentation processing to include daily reports, pay applications, submittals, RFI’s, warranty information, close out documents, record drawings and all final release documents.
  • Material buyouts and ordering to ensure project schedule is met.
  • Candidate will act as liaison and manage all communications/ meetings between customer, company, and subcontractors.
  • Financial oversite to include preparation of project forecasts and work in progress schedules as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
