Job Description: • Assists Facilities Manager in assuring proper security, HVAC, electrical, water, landscaping, janitorial and other systems. Ensures proper maintenance and appropriate repair work for the facility, its equipment and systems, including specified systems such as HVAC, boilers and water supply meet specifications. • Supervises facilities Associates. • Coordinates outside contractors relating to the facility and equipment. • Supervises all facility renovations, improvements, and maintenance, whether through department staff and/or outside contractors. • May respond to emergency calls after scheduled working hours, weekends, and holidays. • Assists with selection and training of facilities Associates. • May assist the Engineering Department in helping provide specifications to accommodate equipment add-ons, moves, and changes, as well as provides routine maintenance and support on selected pieces of equipment. • Helps to maintain and enforce the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety records (Lock-Out/Tag/Out periodic inspections, Confined Space Entry Reports)to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance personnel and contractors. Qualifications & Technical Competencies: • High school diploma required. Associate’s degree and/or equivalent industry/trade training (e.g. apprenticeship program preferred. • 3 - 5 years of related experience, including 1 year of supervisory experience. • Fluency in English and local language, if different, required. Knowledge of Siemens Building Automation System, Livonia and Square D Lighting Systems. • Working knowledge of the principles of refrigeration, plumbing, electricity, boiler systems, and HVAC.
