Read more at www.dsv.com Location: USA - Iselin, Wood Ave Division: Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Supervisor, Import/Export (Israel Control Tower) Time Type: Full Time Job Description: Import/Export Supervisor ( Israel Control Tower ) Essential Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to optimize import and export operations Communicates with department regarding customer accounts, workload distribution, financial performance, etc. Monitor and manage employees time and attendance Negotiating shipping rates and contracts with carriers and logistics providers Promote positive relationship with the clients by ensuring excellent, timely and proactive customer service at all times and in conjunction with other departments and and third parties Monitor quality of service produced by the team Create detailed profiles and procedures that properly represent client’s import/export processes Receive, review and process high-volume and/or complex import/export transactions for client(s) Monitor warehouse inventory to avoid storage fees Create quotations for individual shipments, including estimating prices for the shipper, selecting transportation companies to use, and setting profit margins for individual shipments Review and monitor all requests for information from client and any government agency, and other correspondence Communicate changes of U.S. and foreign shipping regulations and procedures to client Communicate with client, co-workers and third parties in a clear, concise and timely manner Identify transactions and tasks that require special handling, recommend improved processes to management, and implement resolutions within assigned scope of responsibility Identify, investigate and resolve all areas of client concern in a timely and proactive manner by monitoring team performance against Company and client standards. Alert client to special areas of concern or potential problems in the import/export process Skills & Requirements Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Analytical skills to recognize, prevent and resolve problem situations Excellent and thorough knowledge of all modes of transportation ( Ocean/ Air/ Import/Export/ Road/ Oversize/ Break Bulk ) Knowledge of Department of State, commerce, license exceptions, ability to read and interpret exporter/ importer documents Strong compliance focus Able to independently support multiple projects Knowledge of CargoWise a must Can-do attitude / "Get the job done" mentality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service orientation Detail-oriented Self-initiative For this position, the expected base pay range is $22.50-$32.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
