About The Position

Join the team at Los Abrigados as Recreation Supervisor! The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of on‑property recreation programming and activities. This role is designed to deliver high‑quality, guest‑focused recreation experiences while supporting amenity activation, owner engagement, and incremental revenue opportunities. The role maintains close operational alignment with Spa leadership and Resort Operations in the execution of recreation activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 Year resort recreation or related field. Able to tolerate & work in outdoor temperatures and environment
  • High school/GED1-3
  • 1-3 years related experience

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid Certified is preferred
  • Resort Recreation, activities Director, events Coordinator, Cruise Ship, Summer Camp supervisor is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate on‑property recreation activities, classes, and experiences for guests and owners
  • Develop a structured recreation and events calendar aligned with property amenities and seasonal demand
  • Ensure recreation programming enhances the overall owner & guest experience and supports property standards
  • Oversee Recreation procurement, expense controls, inventory and ensure supply readiness for all activities
  • Identify and support recreation offerings with revenue‑generating or upsell potential
  • Align select recreation experiences with spa membership value and utilization
  • Develop & support appropriate monetization opportunities consistent with HGV standards
  • Actively program and oversee recreation spaces, including activity rooms, game rooms, outdoor areas, and other designated amenities
  • Ensure recreation areas are utilized effectively, safely, and in a guest‑ready condition during programmed activities
  • Provide visible, on‑site presence during recreation programs to ensure quality and engagement
  • Support HOA‑funded activities and owner appreciation events
  • Coordinate recreation offerings that align with owner expectations and community priorities
  • Collaborate with Spa leadership to support member engagement and guest flow
  • Partner with Concierge and Guest Services to promote recreation offerings and improve guest awareness
  • Communicate effectively with Resort Operations leadership regarding scheduling, space usage, and program needs
  • Monitor participation, guest engagement, and overall program effectiveness
  • Adjust recreation offerings based on guest feedback, attendance, and operational outcomes
  • Support the development of a scalable recreation model that may expand in scope over time
  • Other duties as assigned.
