From your PASSION to ours: Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Supervisor - Ricotta Production - 2nd shift based in Buffalo, New York. Summary: Ensures the department is running in a safe, productive manner. Focuses on production, quality and people. Identifies, investigates and works to solve problems that arise. Works closely with department employees and reports any issues to Ricotta Production Manager.

Requirements

Attention to detail and accuracy in work required.
Ability to perform a multitude of tasks.
Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
High School Diploma/GED required.
Knowledge of computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in business administration or dairy science preferred.
3-5 years of Supervisory experience preferred.
Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensures department is running in a smooth and efficient manner.
Assist operators in set up and start of production.
Ensures quality control checks are being performed by the departmental employees.
Verifies proper recipes are being used for production.
Completes and maintains appropriate paperwork/reports.
Verifies operator logs each hour with signature.
Verifies that moisture checks are being performed on all lots.
Tours entire room on a half-hour basis.
Ensures sufficient manpower is scheduled for next day’s activities. Make adjustments if necessary.
Ensure that there are sufficient supplies (salt, stabilizer, Vitamin A, etc.) for the day.
Maintains employee records including attendance, and write-ups as needed.
Maintains an open line of communication with all employees in ricotta department.
Identify, investigate and work to solve any problems that arise in the department.
Ensure all department employees adhere to all GMP and QC policies when in the plant and surrounding environments.
