To process and maintain orders and records, supervise staff, and perform duties involved in the efficient operation of warehousing, inventory, mail, courier functions and fleet vehicle management. The deputy court administrator of family court is the appointing authority. The warehouse supervisor receives direct supervision by the director of the department. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the warehouse clerk, laundry workers and courier. (The following duties are representative of the position and do not include all duties which may be performed.) Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations and assess staff performance. Plan, schedule, guide and monitor staff in the operation of warehouse, inventory, mail and courier functions. Investigate and resolve staff disciplinary matters or recommend appropriate action. Process and maintain orders and inventory records through the use of database entry. Seek approval for non-budgeted requests. Set up purchase orders with established and un-established vendors. Establish minimum and maximum levels for all stocked merchandise and maintain those levels through computerized inventory control records, data entry of materials movement and placement of orders for stock items. Compose, prepare and review a variety of reports, narratives and other documents. Investigate and resolve a variety of operational problems and provide input. Ensure the proper completion and retention of unit records. Develop and implement specified operating procedures. Identify, label and record assets and perform periodic, special, or perpetual inventory to ensure adequate control procedures are adhered to. Ensure proper and timely mail operations, which includes certified mailing requirements. Inspect, record and route mail packages. Verify purchase orders, requisitions and invoices to verify expenditures. Receive in diversified and specialized supplies, materials, equipment, and other commodities and verify delivered items against purchase orders to determine quantities received. Examine items to detect unacceptable goods and conformance to orders. Issue office supplies, forms, and other items as required. Provide current and future projected allocations for budgeting purposes, based on past expenses. Coordinate the requests and arrangements for meetings, functions and audio-visual equipment. Set up meeting rooms and audio-visual equipment, ensuring working order of equipment. Arrange for the disposal or destruction of obsolete equipment and furniture. Assemble, repair, move and transport furniture, materials or supplies using hand truck or cargo van. Attend meetings, seminars and training; and perform related work as required. Perform other duties as required.
