About The Position

The Buy/Sell and Rebate Operations Program Manager works with internal and external partners to make sure Google has the supplies to put into production to manufacture innovative products. As the Buy/Sell and Rebate Operations Program Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and supplier relationships to secure supply and improve cost for our global -- and growing -- business. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Economics, Finance, Supply Chain or related technology fields or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years experience in the technology industry in supply chain management or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in global supply chain management within consumer electronics with knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and working cross-functionally
  • Proven track record in problem solving
  • Excellent communication, and collaboration/team playing skills

Responsibilities

  • Purchase Order Creation and Processing: Accurately create and process purchase orders based on requisitions, ensuring correct specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery terms. Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details and obtain acknowledgements.
  • Supplier Communication and Coordination: Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order status, address any inquiries or concerns, and resolve any delivery or quality issues that may arise.
  • Expediting and Follow-Up: Proactively monitor order progress and expedite deliveries as needed to ensure timely receipt of materials and components. Follow up with suppliers on any delays or discrepancies.
  • Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier information, and other relevant procurement data in the company's systems.
  • Support for Senior Buyers: Assist Senior Buyers in various procurement activities, such as gathering supplier quotes, researching new suppliers, and preparing reports.
  • Rebate Management: Collect and process rebates from suppliers across different categories.
