Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. System Safety / Human System Integration (HSI) Department is seeking a Section Lead to add to our existing team. As an on-site Section Lead you will guide employees within their career experience at Raytheon, as well as taking on responsibility for growing into and taking ownership of a technical discipline as a subject matter expert, developing and reviewing effective proposals, estimating on-going costs, and ensuring best practices are executed within all programs. Location: Tewksbury, MA, Woburn, MA, or Marlborough, MA What You Will Do As a Section Lead you will be responsible for leading up to approximately 10-20 team members on average in various facets of design through sustainment of products for System Safety Engineering. Additional responsibilities will include the following employee-focused areas: Employee performance development and assessment Employee growth, productivity improvement, and recognition Personnel issue resolution Ensuring compliance with company policies/procedures Ensuring all personnel are properly prepared and trained for the scope of their tasks and leveraging best practices across all programs Reviewing system safety work products for completeness and quality Preparing and reviewing system safety bids Mentoring junior engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of proven system safety experience.
  • Experience performing multiple proposals, capture, and Estimates at Completion (EAC)
  • Experience motivating team members by providing an open environment conducive for each employee to reach his/her full potential
  • Experience with interpersonal and communication skills combined to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Experience with management of program support, subcontractor oversight, and customer relationships.
  • Experience with Performance Development process
  • Experience across the entire product life cycle including capture, development, production, and sustainment
  • Experience with the Raytheon hiring process
  • Experience with Earned Value principles
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearances
