About The Position

The System Administrator II (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of the server operating system, server and client applications. This position also participates in technical research and development of to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This position ensures that the system and related procedures adhere to organizational values and requirements. The SA assists with technical issues as well as the implementation of a variety of IT related projects across multiple system platforms. This role will also research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated solution that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

Requirements

  • Requires application of knowledge in a specialized field.
  • Ability to plan & organize work.
  • Capable of solving problems of a difficult nature, within field of specialization.
  • Specialized education equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Information Technology along with appropriate network certifications
  • Requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Experience must include installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting physical and virtual (VMware) servers as well as supporting an enterprise data and voice network.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies continuous improvement projects to enhance the organization’s efficiency by reducing nonvalue added steps that can be eliminated by the use of technology.
  • Maintain the stability and sustainability of the organizations core IT related systems including user security, file security, network security, Group Policies, user profiles and antivirus protection.
  • Ensure data integrity through development and maintenance of proper backups, security systems and control over all registered application software.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.
  • Helps develop and enforce policies that mitigate or eliminate company exposure related to technology.
  • Provides recommendations and expertise to ensure that all company systems, including existing computer hardware and software, as well as physical and virtual infrastructure are functioning properly. Hardware includes: printers, servers, desktops and laptops located at all plant locations and in possession of sales reps or third-party vendors.
  • Ensures all help desk activities are prioritized in alignment with the business needs.
