About The Position
QTEC Aerospace is seeking multiple SYSTEMS ENGINEERS to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic. Job Summary QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs. The chosen candidates will provide support as an individual contributor to the Systems Engineering Team for the Ground Fire Control (GFC) product on a large Missile Defense program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and at least 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
- Must have a solid understanding of system engineering processes and principles, along with proven experience in applying them to develop product solutions
- Must have experience with Software development and the verification of requirements
- Experience on a large-scale missile defense system like GMD
- Applicants must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
- Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs
- Should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed.
- Self-motivated and customer-oriented.
- Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Must be familiar with DOORS, Cameo, and MBSE
- Experience with the MDA GMD program
- Battle Management or Fire Control experience
- MBSE or INCOSE Certifications
- Experience developing SE artifacts, including specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, and similar
Responsibilities
- Developing and assisting in the requirements process that directly supports the design and development of GWS capabilities on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
