About The Position

Are You Passionate About Early Childhood Education and Making a Difference in Young Learner’s Lives? We’re looking for a caring and energetic Pre-K Teacher Assistant to support classroom instruction, foster positive child development, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment. If you love working with young children and are committed to their success, we want to hear from you! As a Teacher Assistant, you’ll support the lead teacher in implementing curriculum, supervising children, and fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. This part-time position supports developmentally appropriate activities and fosters child engagement to promote growth and learning.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or Child Development Associate (CDA).
  • Experience in a preschool setting or working with young children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
  • Basic computer skills to facilitate communication within the agency
  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to the mission of supporting children, families and communities
  • Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination, TB screen, and background screen inclusive of CHRI and CARI check is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily classroom activities and child supervision.
  • Support curriculum implementation aligned with NAEYC and Head Start standards.
  • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
  • Conduct developmental screenings and maintain child progress records.
  • Engage with parents to support family and community involvement.
  • Participate in professional development and team collaboration.
