About The Position

Camp 2030 teachers will support 8th grade students who apply to participate in this 4-day summer pre-collegiate program. Teachers will collaborate with Post-Secondary Counselors and support approximately 75 students. Monday, June 1, 2026, is a preparation and training day for camp teachers and the camp's high school peer leaders.

Requirements

  • Must be a current Mapleton Public Schools employee.
  • Must have a current (active) Colorado teaching license.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning for Pre-Collegiate Summer Camp 2030.
  • Collaborate with Post-Secondary Counselors to deliver activities aligned to Camp 2030 objectives.
  • Assist in securing materials and resources needed to implement lessons and activities.
  • Help establish and maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Chaperone student field trips to college campuses.
  • Communicate regularly with Post-Secondary Counselors and other camp teachers during planning and implementation.
  • Follow all district policies and procedures.
  • Follow the guidelines and expectations of the Camp 2030 Coordinator.
