Position Overview: GEICO is seeking a highly motivated Tech Services Associate II to join our Technical Field Engineering team. This role provides on-site technical support and maintenance across our regional offices, ensuring seamless IT operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive and have a strong technical background with expertise in hardware, software, networking, automation, and AV systems support. This is an on-site role that requires full-time presence. You will play a pivotal part in GEICO’s transformation from a traditional IT model to a tech-driven organization with a focus on engineering excellence. Onsite 5 days a week - (8:30am - 5:00pm) - Tampa, FL office Possible Travel to other locations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or 4 years of equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical skills with problem solving ability
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer facing skills
  • Ability to lift and transport IT equipment (40-50 lbs.).
  • Proven ability to operate in high pressure situations handling multiple competing priorities
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment where travel might be required

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, network, VIOP and AV systems.
  • Understand core network technologies (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VLAN, SNMP)
  • Provide direct technical support to associates both in person and remotely.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure and equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Engage with IT personnel for issue resolution.
  • Ability to provide on-call support for high severity incidents
  • Windows Server and Backup solutions
  • Hands-on support for technical projects such as office relocations, infrastructure upgrades, and technology rollouts.
  • Support project completion within scope and timelines.
  • Meet deadline expectations.
  • Provide detailed notes on technical issues & projects.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends in field engineering.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and new technologies to enhance service delivery.
