About The Position

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and customer‑focused Technical Support & Merchant Services Specialist to serve as a primary point of contact for merchants and agent offices. In this role, you’ll support all payment‑related technology needs, troubleshoot issues, and guide clients through implementations while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of professional customer service experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of technical troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Internet navigation, and Outlook.
  • Experience supporting payment‑processing, POS, or transaction‑related technology preferred over traditional IT helpdesk work.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Payment processing experience.
  • Retail or customer‑facing experience assisting with technical or transactional issues.
  • Experience in a call center, queue, or ticketing environment.
  • Financial or banking environment experience.
  • Familiarity with POS systems (Clover, PAX, Dejavoo, ELO, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of resolution for merchants and agent offices regarding terminal and payment‑technology issues.
  • Handle technical support inquiries via phone, email, and video call.
  • Recommend appropriate products and services to clients.
  • Support merchant onboarding, implementation, and installation processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Lead clients through initial setup and transaction processing enablement.
  • Maintain relationships with 3rd‑party POS hardware/software partners and VARs.
  • Respond to questions related to credit card processing accounts.
  • Troubleshoot device and processing issues while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
  • Document actions and resolutions in a CRM, meeting or exceeding SLAs.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to check on satisfaction and uncover potential product opportunities.
