About The Position

The Technical Production Coordinator IV (Technical Manager) coordinates the production of live and/or taped content for the ACC Network and CardsTV for the University of Louisville Athletic Department. It is responsible for working on television production projects in a variety of roles as a project merits, as well as collaborating with the Chief Broadcast Engineer and other staff to multitask various broadcast solutions as required to fulfill the television production situations and pre-production. This position is the on-site Technical Manager at each facility where each broadcast originates, and oversees freelance/contract and student workers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two (2) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work extensive nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in professional live remote production (such as ESPN+, ACCNX, and/or SEC+).
  • Ability to multitask on live remote and studio productions.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal communication skills, including both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Sony Studio and ENG, Ikegami Buildup, and Handheld Cameras.
  • Experience with Video and Audio Routing/Signal Flow Evertz EQX Router.
  • Proficient with Single Mode ST Fiber Connectivity.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel spreadsheets.
  • Understanding of the ROSS Integration Workflow Switcher and GFXs equipment.
  • Experience with Yamaha CL5 and Evertz DreamCatcher.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as on-site production supervisor for Digital and Linear remote broadcasts/productions.
  • Produce studio and live remote broadcasts and/or webcasts.
  • Serve on a live remote production crew in the capacity of camera operator, audio operator, graphics operator, and/or replay operator.
  • Works with the Junior Engineer on covering all Athletic Department Press Conferences.
  • Handle pre-production work for assigned broadcast/webcast/big screen productions.
  • Train and mentor contract and student workers in various roles that include prepping elements for game, event, edit, or shoot; oversee ACC Network Operations Internship Programs.
  • Oversee on-site freelance/contract and student workers.
  • Update Watch ESPN deep links of telecasts for each respective sport.
  • Assist in archiving multimedia content.
