The Cloud + AI Platform Infrastructure Migration CSA is the most senior Azure delivery IP developer & delivery expert, deeply skilled across all Azure. Microsoft aspires to help our customers achieve their own digital transformation, leveraging the power of Microsoft cloud solutions, Copilot and services. To help drive this effort, Microsoft is investing in the expansion of a Migration team that will play a leadership role in helping our customers achieve this digital transformation through successful adoption of Ai to migrate on-premises infrastructure, servers and Databases. For our Secure Migrate and Modernize Solution area, we are looking for an Infrastructure Migration focused Technical Program Manager (TPM). This TPM will develop high-quality, re-usable technical assets focused on migration across customers VMs, Windows & Linux servers, SAP/Enterprise applications, and relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server) with the use of Azure Copilot to accelerate Azure adoption. This TPM will collaborate with the Unified and the Factory team to drive the landing and adoption of migration offerings with the field. Also, this TPM will unblock and accelerate field pipeline and escalated requests, including solving for engagement blocking technical feedback within SLO. Execute field readiness programs including the Technical Intensity program, champs’ programs, and LevelUp training. Influence product roadmap based on Voice of Customer/Field gathered from CSU teams, customers, and partners. Enable core priorities for the Secure Migrate & Modernize solution area by developing and landing execution guidance for field teams. Develop and validate how-to-execute guidance for relevant offerings in the Cloud Adoption Factory and support enablement of Factory delivery teams. Serve as technical SMEs and thought leaders on delivery topics for the solution play and pillar, including best practices and architecture patterns. This role will be focused on developing repeatable IP and assets for broad use by internal Microsoft delivery resources, managing technical product escalations from customers, and interfacing with engineering on product roadmap and feature releases. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in cloud/application/database technologies, engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in cloud/application/database technologies, engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects AND working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure or other cloud platforms is essential. This includes experience with hands-on cloud migration and/or modernization, architecture, deployment, databases and management of cloud services.
  • Experience with databases such as Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle.
  • Experience with scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
  • Experience with the use of Ai/Automation in IaaS

Responsibilities

  • Understand customers' Secure Migrate & Modernize transformation priorities, and success measures.
  • Innovate with Azure solutions that drive business value, and increase customer maturity, adoption and production readiness.
  • Ensure Technical Solution Excellence: Deliver solutions with high performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, reusability, and reliability upon deployment. Align these solutions to demand signals from the field teams, market patterns and product roadmap.
  • Facilitate scalable delivery through strong technical program management utilizing a factory model/approach; driving program awareness and demand across the regional areas, this includes obtaining understanding of delivery demand patterns which will inform IP strategy for delivery at scale.
  • Drive Consumption Growth: Develop opportunities to enhance Customer Success and help customers extract value from their Microsoft investments.
  • Unblock Customer Challenges: Leverage subject matter expertise to identify resolutions for customer blockers. Follow best practices and utilize repeatable IP.
  • Build repeatable IP and assets that create velocity in deployment and drives customer value from their Unified investment. Continuously look to improve upon these assets utilizing the best of field inputs.
  • Architect Azure Solutions: Apply technical knowledge to design solutions aligned with business and IT needs. Create Innovate with AI roadmaps, lead POCs and MVPs, and ensure long-term technical viability.
  • Deep Expertise in Azure: Proficiency in migrating on-premise applications and databases to Azure.
  • Advocate for Customers: Share insights and best practices, collaborate with the Engineering team to address key blockers, and influence product improvements, roadmap and feature prioritization. Provide clarity to field teams and customers on feature roadmap and develop assets that extend products aligned to strategy.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on market trends, collaborate with the AI technical community, and educate customers about the Azure AI platform. Share technical knowledge, best practices, and enablement throughout various communities internally and externally.
  • Accelerate Outcomes: Through engaging with field teams, share expertise, contribute to IP creation, and promote reusability to accelerate customer success, as well as collate feedback on assets to drive improvement and leverage field teams inputs.
