About The Position

Duties: Provide end-to-end application and infrastructure service delivery for the successful business operations of the firm. Execute policies and procedures that ensure Engineering and Operational stability and availability. Monitor production environments for anomalies, address issues, and drive evolution of utilization of standard observability tools. Coordinating with global peers across LOB, focusing on driving efficiency and service improvements within payment flow. Escalate and communicate issues and solutions to the business and technology stakeholders, actively participating from incident resolution to service restoration. Lead incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate modern telemetry practices into existing mainframe systems. Serve as a reliable point of contact for delivering detailed and timely responses to application-related operational questions. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Technology Support Lead, Application Support, Technical Lead, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Technology Support Lead, Application Support, Technical Lead, or related occupation. Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Performing code reviews and analysis using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS; Developing tools and utilities for automating manual inquiries and health checks using Rexx and JCL; Making application changes to CICS, Cobol and JCL code using version control and deployment tools, including Changeman and Endevor; Writing and optimizing queries using DB2; Assessing infrastructure elements including MQ, DB2, NDM, and CPU for capacity and alerting. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Making schedule changes accounting for job dependencies in batch schedulers including CA7, ControlM and Zeke; Setting up monitoring and alerting for CICS, MQ, DB2, and zOS using Mainview. This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Executing programs using project and program management tools including ServiceNow and Jira; Developing telemetry solutions for applications using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Datadog. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: Designing mainframe and mid-range systems; Integrating interfacing technologies into mainframe and mid-range systems; Testing, problem-solving, and maintaining the operational stability of mainframe and mid-range systems; Maintaining infrastructure platforms' network, enterprise compute, storage, data protection, databases, resilience, and performance through ongoing assessments and optimization; Managing operational service delivery; Evaluating application design modifications using resilient design practices. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Technology Support Lead, Application Support, Technical Lead, or related occupation.
