About this role: The Temporary Engineering Technician will support the Equipment Standards team with golf testing and research initiatives. This role involves hands-on technical work, data management, and collaboration with golf facilities, requiring frequent travel. The ideal candidate is a skilled golfer, with experience in golf performance and technology, with strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in both independent and team settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in golf and technical content.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with golf launch monitors such as TrackMan, GC Quad, or similar systems is a plus
- Highly skilled golfer with an in-depth understanding of golf performance and technology is a plus
Responsibilities
- Conduct local and remote golf player testing, including data collection and analysis.
- Perform TrackMan launch monitor testing with amateur golfers.
- Support TrackMan Mega System testing at USGA Championships.
- Maintain, organize, and ship test equipment.
- Manage and archive test data systematically.
- Coordinate with golf facilities for site selection and scheduling of testing sessions.
- Utilize basic mechanical tools for equipment maintenance and testing.
