Unload grain and grain by-products from trucks. Opening gates and doors on trucks Maintain a clean and safe work environment and facility Must be able to distinguish different products and report any abnormities to supervisor Be able to work a combination of 8, 10, & 12 hour shifts consisting of days, nights & weekends. Work is physically demanding, dirty and exposed to outside elements Follow instructions of Superintendent, Assistant or Lead Follow all LDC safety rules and procedures Must have adequate knowledge of all SHE policies Responsible for a clean work area, clean facility and general maintenance (housekeeping) Must wear all required PPE for the jobs being performed Assist in all areas of the facility as needed Must be able to perform all barge/deck hand duties in a safe manner

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the use of hand tools, power tools, chain falls, com-a-longs, grinders, drill presses, table saws, etc…
  • Must have ability to work from ladders and scaffolds at heights above 6’
  • Be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in dusty conditions
  • Must be able to work frequently in inclement weather
  • Must be aware and attentive to surroundings which may include automatic starting conveyors belts and other moving machinery
  • Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, squat, and crawl occasionally and stand and walk frequently
