About The Position

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is hiring a Territory Sales Representative to own and grow the YMCA and Campus Recreation market across Florida (excluding the Panhandle), with a preference for candidates based in the Greater Orlando or Greater Tampa areas. In this remote, field‑based role, you’ll drive revenue across a large, relationship‑driven territory by selling premium fitness solutions to YMCAs and college/university recreation departments. You’ll lead complex, long‑cycle sales, influence multi‑stakeholder decisions, and position Life Fitness / Hammer Strength as a trusted, long‑term partner for mission‑driven organizations. This role is ideal for a consultative, self‑directed sales professional who enjoys territory ownership and thrives in a fast-moving, highly competitive Florida market—winning business through differentiation, credibility, and consistency. Experience in commercial, membership‑based, or multi‑site fitness environments (including health clubs) translates well and supports future growth within Life Fitness / Hammer Strength. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in field sales or account management, ideally in B2B or solution‑based selling environments.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and sell consultatively, earning trust with multiple stakeholders and decision‑makers.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, geographically diverse territories with strong prioritization and follow‑up discipline.
  • Ability to navigate multi‑stakeholder and committee‑based buying environments, including longer sales cycles.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred), including opportunity management, forecasting, and data hygiene.
  • High standard for customer responsiveness and delivering a premium, high‑touch sales experience.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate solutions into outcomes that resonate with mission‑driven and commercial customers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Florida (excluding the Panhandle).

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a defined territory, managing pipeline, priorities, and account strategy across YMCAs and campus recreation departments.
  • Drive revenue by leading long‑cycle, consultative sales processes involving executives, facilities teams, boards, procurement, and other stakeholders.
  • Position Life Fitness / Hammer Strength solutions by clearly connecting features to outcomes, including safety, durability, lifecycle value, and program impact.
  • Influence specifications and buying decisions without formal agreements using credibility, storytelling, customer references, and market insight.
  • Identify and execute account expansion opportunities, including refresh cycles, phased purchases, and multi‑year planning.
  • Maintain consistent engagement with customers between major projects to protect share and build future pipeline.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to support facility planning and equipment layouts.
  • Operate with strong discipline in CRM opportunity management, forecasting, and internal communication.
  • Spend 3+ days per week in the field, actively developing relationships and advancing opportunities across your territory.
