About The Position

The Textbook Apprentice assists the textbook manager in collecting textbook needs from the various schools and colleges for all LUO courses. Additionally, this role assists with the placement of textbook needs with the online resource provider contracted by the University, assuring correct resources are identified and secured for each 8-week curriculum cycle. Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Centrally receives all requests for new textbooks, additions or edits to the existing list, or textbook edition changes initiated by publishers. 2. Updates the online ordering system to reflect accurate listings for each 8-week sub-term. 3. Assures a clear understanding is presented to students of optional and secondary resources that might be referenced within a course. 4. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission. Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies High school or equivalent. Strong working knowledge of Office Suite preferred.
