Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills and a willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Paying attention to detail is essential.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills; experience with JDE and Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • Experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps accurate records of tools, drills, and machine parts for the automatic screw machine department, ensuring minimum stock levels and promptly notifying Purchasing when restocking is needed.
  • Keeps accurate records of tools, drills, and machine parts for the automatic screw machine department, ensuring minimum stock levels and promptly notifying Purchasing when restocking is needed.
  • Issues tools, drills, and machine parts to operators and supervisors using a computer system for tracking. Manages returns within the same system and is responsible for accurate record-keeping and the proper return of all tools.
  • Accurately maintains a running inventory of all items in the tool crib based on stock records. Takes a physical inventory of the entire tool crib at least once a year.
  • Maintains accurate daily transactions via computer.
  • Operates CNC and automatic drill grinders to provide sharpened drills for machine operators' specific job needs.
  • Reports excessive usage of tools by machine operators to the Operations Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Materials Manager.
  • Identifies and reports tools of substandard quality to the Operations Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Materials Manager.
  • Reports critical stock levels of tools to the Operations Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Materials Manager.
  • Keeps the workplace area clean and organized daily, with a general cleanup each week.
  • Works with tool crib attendants from different shifts to share and exchange relevant information for the task at hand.
  • Follows all safety regulations while performing all duties.
  • Carries out additional tasks as necessary.
