The Trades/Laborer is responsible performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks, including carpentry and masonry to repair and maintain bridges, buildings, equipment, storm drainage structures, etc. This position operates machinery, dump trucks, and specialized power and hand tools to carry out assignments. Job Description: Salary Range: $40,260.00-$107,746.00 BUDGETED SALARY: $43,323.99/ANNUALLY Essential Duties: (The following examples illustrate the work performed in the positions in the class. Builds and sets forms, pours and finishes concrete Operates power and hand tools, including those typically used in the carpentry and masonry trades Operates equipment such as air compressors and their air-driven tools (tampers, jack hammers, etc), concrete pumps, concrete finishing machines, gunite machines, water pumps, sandblasters, concrete saws, etc Lays brick and block Adheres to applicable safety rules and regulations Trains new team members or other staff on how to carry out work functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures Assists in welding operations Years of Experience: Three (3) years of trades/laboring experience in carpentry and masonry. Years of Supervisory Experience: None Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Certifications, Licensures, and Examinations: Possession of a valid Class "A" CDL with "O" restriction and tank vehicle endorsement with no more than three (3) points. Valid Class "C" with no restrictions acceptable for job entry but must obtain valid Class "A" CDL license with "O" restriction and tank vehicle endorsement within six (6) months of appointment to the position.
