About The Position

L.K. Jordan & Associates is seeking a Trailer Assembly Technician located near the Frost Bank Center. You will be a vital team member responsible for completing the final stages of mechanical and electrical assembly in a manufacturing facility Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00 hourly DOE

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous experience; preferably in trailer or vehicle assembly.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
• Basic mechanical skills
• Proficient with using various hand and power tools
• Attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring for lighting set up.

Responsibilities

• Basic Mechanic Skills: Utilize fundamental mechanical knowledge, including tools, fasteners, and assembly techniques commonly used in trailer construction.
• Brake Installation: Install hydraulic or electric brake systems on trailers, adjust brake shoes, and ensure proper functionality.
• Wheel and Tire Mounting: Mount and balance wheels and tires onto trailer axles, torque lug nuts, and ensure proper alignment.
• Wood Deck Installation: Securely install wooden planks to create sturdy deck surfaces on flatbed or utility trailers.
• Lighting Setup: Wire and install trailer lights, including marker lights, brake lights, turn signals, and license plate lights, ensuring all electrical connections are safe and functional.
