About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Training and Outreach Officer. Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Sponsored Projects, the Training and Outreach Officer in the office of Sponsored Projects (SP) provides university-wide research administration training, education and outreach initiatives. The position develops and delivers internal and external training programs, creates instructional resources, and promotes best practices related to proposal development, sponsor regulations, and award management. The role serves as a campus resource for research administration processes and supports information dissemination across the institution. The position also provides functional administration and training support for the InfoEd Grants Management Software system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of related professional work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience required
  • Experience in research administration, grants management, higher education; experience using research administration or enterprise workflow systems to manage proposals, approvals or awards; experience development and delivering training and instructional material or a related field.

  • Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate.
