About The Position

First Quality was founded in 1989 and has grown to be a global privately held company with over 4,000 employees. Its corporate offices are in Great Neck, New York, with manufacturing facilities and offices in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Georgia, and Canada. First Quality is a diversified family of companies manufacturing consumer products ranging from Absorbent Hygiene (adult incontinence, feminine care, and baby care), Tissue (bath and towel), and Industrial (print and packaging materials), serving institutional and retail markets throughout the world. First Quality focuses on private label and branded product lines. We are seeking a Training Intern for our First Quality Print & Packaging facility located in Anderson, SC. This position will be responsible for recording and creating Operational Training media.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Actively pursuing a print or packaging related degree
  • Work in an environment with the potential for exposure to dust, gas, and fumes
  • Occasional Stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, crouching throughout shift
  • Occasional climbing and reaching
  • Able to work in dusty, wet, hot environments on occasion
  • Work in hot and cold as well as wet and humid areas
  • Able to work in confined spaced
  • Occasional climbing of steps / ladders
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Practice good hygiene, treating everyone with respect, being constructive and tactful, communicating with the team, and abiding by company policies and procedures
  • Film or photograph the processes on the machines within the facility
  • Use video editing software to edit the captured media using the TWI Lean Manufacturing approach
  • Observe all safety rules and use proper safety equipment at all times. (PPE. LOTO, etc.)
  • Work along with management and team leads to ascertain the information for the training media and assure it is accurate
  • Use various recording devices to achieve clear and concise images
  • Use both Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite to edit and design informational media
  • Keep a clear, organized, and easily decipherable record of all projects and their individual pieces
  • Maintain a line of communication with the Training Manager and provide measurable growth for team meetings
  • Work on multiple project simultaneously while adhering to quality and deadlines
