Job Summary The Training Specialist creates, delivers, and maintains high‑quality training materials across multiple formats, including handouts, reference guides, walkthrough videos, micro‑ and macro‑eLearning modules, and other digital learning assets in Manhattan, NY. This role facilitates training sessions in both virtual and in‑person environments, corporate offices, field locations, and off‑site settings as needed. It also supports the development and upkeep of a comprehensive training curriculum for new and existing employees, while contributing to change management efforts during system upgrades and new product rollouts. The position collaborates closely with business partners and departmental trainers to ensure training needs are met and to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs. It provides clear, timely support to learners as they navigate training resources and related systems. The role requires a professional with foundational subject‑matter knowledge, the ability to execute defined tasks, and the capacity to engage in technical discussions at a task‑oriented level.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of experience in training, learning and development, or consulting roles.
  • Solid understanding of training content development and instructional delivery.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, accessible explanations for non‑technical audiences.
  • Foundational knowledge of Adult Learning Theory.
  • Experience with content creation tools such as Articulate, Captivate, SnagIt, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of the functional area supported by the role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Above‑average technical proficiency and comfort with digital tools.
  • Basic understanding of how information systems integrate within an organization.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Adaptability in a fast‑changing, complex environment, particularly within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to support a flexible work schedule, including occasional early morning or evening meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Leads virtual and in‑person training sessions for diverse audiences, ensuring sessions are interactive, engaging, and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Hosts virtual and onsite office hours and rounding sessions to provide individualized learner support.
  • Serves as a resource for employees and managers across the organization, offering guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Communicates digital product functionality clearly and effectively to end users.
  • Participates in training and change‑management activities related to system enhancements and new product implementations, both remotely and onsite.
  • Partners with product rollout teams to ensure training deliverables align with deployment goals.
  • Maintains a working understanding of platform and product roadmaps.
  • Acts as a platform liaison or subject matter expert for one or more systems, sharing updates, creating internal training materials, and supporting teammates.
  • Designs and produces clear, user‑friendly training content—including guides, presentations, instructional videos, and eLearning modules—tailored to specific learning outcomes.
  • Reviews and updates training materials regularly to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Follows established departmental templates, branding, and style guidelines.
  • Supports the management of a diverse training catalog.
  • Oversees course registration, enrollment, and learner tracking.
  • Measures training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and learner feedback.
  • Pursues ongoing professional development through workshops, continuing education, and industry research.
