About The Position

North End Teleservices is seeking a reliable and motivated Transportation Supervisor to oversee daily shuttle transportation operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient service for employees. This role provides direct leadership to shuttle drivers, manages scheduling and routing, ensures compliance with safety and operational standards, and maintains oversight of fleet readiness and documentation. The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for coordinating transportation logistics, monitoring operational performance, and addressing service issues in real time. While this role maintains the qualifications to operate company vehicles, driving responsibilities are limited to backup coverage when necessary to maintain service continuity. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Current DOT Medical Card required.
  • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with company requirements.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and scheduling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transportation environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of transportation, fleet, or logistics experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing driver scheduling and transportation routes.
  • Knowledge of fleet management systems or transportation scheduling software.
  • Familiarity with DOT safety standards or transportation compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of shuttle drivers, providing daily leadership, direction, and operational guidance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shuttle drivers during shifts, addressing questions, concerns, and operational challenges.
  • Conduct regular driver check-ins, coaching, and performance feedback to maintain high service standards.
  • Track driver attendance, coverage needs, and operational readiness.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new shuttle drivers.
  • Maintain first aide certifications for all drivers.
  • Develop and manage driver schedules and shuttle routes to ensure reliable and timely employee transportation.
  • Monitor transportation operations throughout the day and adjust routes, driver assignments, and schedules as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve route efficiency, vehicle utilization, and transportation reliability.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics in alignment with workforce scheduling needs and shift changes.
  • Respond to operational disruptions including driver call-offs, delays, weather conditions, or emergency situations.
  • Perform dispatch duties and maintain contact with drivers throughout their routes.
  • Ensure drivers follow company safety policies, DOT guidelines, and local traffic regulations.
  • Review and verify completion of daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection forms.
  • Ensure vehicles are operated safely and maintained according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Escalate vehicle maintenance issues, safety concerns, or incidents to the Fleet or Operations Manager.
  • Reinforce a culture of safe driving, accountability, and compliance across the transportation team.
  • Identify training plans for department and individuals along with performing monthly assessments.
  • Maintain driver uniform and equipment compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with rider agreements, maintaining safety compliance inside and outside of the vehicle.
  • Monitor vehicle availability and ensure shuttles are clean, fueled, and ready for service.
  • Coordinate with fleet management on vehicle maintenance schedules and repairs.
  • Track mileage, vehicle usage, and operational logs to support fleet management efforts.
  • Maintain clear communication with operations and leadership teams regarding transportation service performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver schedules, route assignments, inspections, incidents, and vehicle usage.
  • Track transportation performance metrics including attendance coverage, route adherence, safety, and service reliability.
  • Prepare reports and operational updates for leadership as required.
  • Maintain organized documentation to support compliance, operational planning, and program oversight.
  • Assist in DOT audit response preparation.
  • Maintain required qualifications to operate company shuttle vehicles.
  • Provide driving coverage when necessary to support transportation operations and ensure uninterrupted service.
