About The Position

The Transportation Support team member provides courteous, timely, and safe transportation services for our residents, while assisting with mobility needs and vehicle care. This role requires excellent communication skills, reliability, flexibility, and a dedication to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid NYS Driver’s License with clean driving record and insurability
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, push wheelchairs, and assist with physical transfers
Comfort with standing, bending, squatting, and sitting for long periods
Basic computer skills for communication, scheduling, and documentation
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including some evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

Experience working with older adults and individuals living with dementia (preferred)

Responsibilities

Safely transport residents to appointments, shopping trips, and community events using a variety of vehicles
Assist residents entering and exiting vehicles, including safely securing wheelchairs and mobility devices
Maintain trip schedules and resident transportation records using computer-based systems
Track vehicle maintenance needs and coordinate servicing as needed
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to provide outstanding customer service
Perform general support tasks for the department and other duties as assigned
