Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Current Texas RN License.
  • Five years clinical experience in a hospital care setting with a minimum of two years of emergency room experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable on current State of Texas Trauma Rules and Regulations preferred.
  • ACLS certified current.

Nice To Haves

  • PALS/ENPC, TNCC/ATCN, and SAMA certified preferred or recommended within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for organizing, coordinating and implementing the Trauma Program.
  • Is an active participant in performance improvement data collection, activities, and functions to promote an integrated program in Trauma, which ensures the provision of the highest quality of healthcare in our trauma patients.
  • Collaborates with personnel involved with the Trauma Program.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of trauma initiatives, trauma policies and procedures, including staff education activities.
  • Evaluates Trauma Program through the use of data capture, follow-up and trend analysis and presents findings to appropriate committees.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on identified performance improvement issues (PDCA), implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures for the Trauma Program.
