About The Position

E. Armata Inc. is looking for a dependable and organized Class B truck driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina. Someone who can work long hours on the road and can consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years experience driving as a CDL Class B driver.
  • CDL Class B driver’s license must be in good standing.
  • Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc).
  • Medical DOT Card must be up to date and active.
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • No recent moving or driving violations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
  • Flexible to support the need of the business.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow direction.
  • Must be self-motivated and a team-player with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous and respectful toward others.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and recognize matters needing attention.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Report defects, accidents or violations
  • Delivering merchandise via tractor-trailer
  • Loading and unloading product
  • Maintaining daily log and keeping all paperwork organized.
  • Attention to detail and ensuring all product is accounted for.
  • Filling up on fuel, and clean truck as required and needed
  • Reporting to Traffic Manager any incidents encountered on or off the road incidents.
  • Inspecting the trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects.
  • Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
  • Must have an open schedule and be able to work as needed.
