Do you want to use your advanced sonography skills to support comprehensive diagnostic services for veterans? If so, this opportunity is ideal for you. We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist with multiple certifications to join our team supporting the VA healthcare system. You'll perform complex ultrasound procedures, including vascular studies and ultrasound-guided biopsies, that are critical for patient diagnosis and treatment planning. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced ultrasound technology while providing essential diagnostic services to those who served our country.

Requirements

  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen/Small Parts and two (2) or more separate certifications, such as RVT, OB/GYN, Musculoskeletal, etc.
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • Must demonstrate expertise in ultrasounds of scrotum, pelvis, and ultrasound-guided biopsy, including liver and renal biopsies of native and transplanted organs, renal artery stenosis, and renal Doppler
  • Minimum 3 years of hospital experience within the United States
  • Must have worked within a hospital setting as an Ultrasound Tech in the last six (6) months
  • Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as a Vascular Ultrasound Tech in the last six (6) months
  • Current professional liability insurance (evidence required)
  • Must be available to work for the VA at least six (6) months after starting date

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations including abdominal, small parts, vascular, OB/GYN, musculoskeletal, and other specialized studies
  • Conduct ultrasound-guided procedures including liver and renal biopsies of native and transplanted organs
  • Perform specialized vascular imaging including renal artery stenosis studies and renal Doppler examinations
  • Execute scrotal and pelvic ultrasound examinations with precision and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging
  • Maintain equipment, ensure quality control, and follow all safety protocols
  • Document procedures thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records
