About The Position

Position Available: Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer - 1st Shift Schedule: Saturday through Sunday, 7:00am to 3:30pm at FANUC Corporation in Oakland County Hourly wage: $18.00/hour Now offering DailyPay service. Benefits Offered: 401(k) Paid Time Off ( Accrued ) Consistent Work Schedule Company Provided Training Primary Responsibilities: Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. Observe activity and traffic in assigned area to enforce rules and regulations, alerts visitors of infractions. Assists any persons in a building or on grounds needing directions or information. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers. Control traffic by directing drivers. Maintain organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results needed for success. Complete reports by recording observations and information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. Respond to alarms and dispatched calls; decide what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations. Decide when incident requires written report; decide which report form to use and submit to supervisor. Unlock buildings/doors after checking identification and compliance with policies. May assist law enforcement officers with crowd control and surveillance at large public events. Deal with uncertainty, must have the ability to make objective decisions. Must have emotional control and deliver communication with integrity and respect toward others.

Requirements

  • Previous security experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours per shift), walk, run, and climb flights of stairs
  • Bend, squat, twist, and turn multiple times during your shift
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to read, write, follow direction, and communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check & drug screening
