About The Position

You will perform credit analysis and underwriting activities as a Junior Underwriting Analyst , evaluating financial position and credit worthiness, for prospective and existing commercial, merchant, and portfolio accounts. Also identify trends in processing, reading consumer credit reports as well as credit reports on businesses, and completing risk assessments and financial analysis.

Requirements

• High level of autonomy and independent judgment in decision-making.
• Ability to interpret and explain bank statements and credit reports.
• Familiarity with applications such as LexisNexis and credit analysis tools.
• Strong time management skills and a passion for financial analysis.
• A love for learning and a drive to resolve challenges

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
• 2+ years credit analysis experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in credit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review credit history to assess credit worthiness of new prospective clients.
• Ensure a balanced risk and revenue trade-off consistent with credit policy and loss target expectations.
• Mitigate over $2.5 million in risk in a one-year period.
• Investigate the processing activity on accounts that have exceeded the parameters set in our risk management system and make a real time decision if the account is conducting business in a fraudulent manner or in a way that increases the credit exposure to Fiserv and our partners.
• Have a high level of autonomy and independent judgment in making decisions and interacting effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, partners, and vendors as well as customers.
