Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in the Reinsurance industry, preferably as a Broker
  • Able to independently handle broker teamwork in the system using in-depth knowledge of ABConnect, GRiDs, EDE systems
  • Demonstrates proficiency in SNL, S&P, and Re/View for colleagues
  • Understands Aon’s analytical capabilities and has the knowledge to answer questions about Aon’s internal models
  • Interest in pursuing the ARe credential

Responsibilities

  • Provides client support activities that are increasingly complex
  • Proactively communicates with account team members within other areas of the firm including analytics, contract wording, accounting, etc.
  • Works on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Anticipates client deliverables such as market guides, schedules, and agendas for marketing meetings, etc.
  • Takes a lead role in tracking data, reinsurer questions, quotes/authorizations, etc.
  • Develops rapport with day-to-day contacts
  • Communicates with client contacts, relying on knowledge and understanding of client data and processes
  • Takes initiative in learning about client’s plans and priorities by reviewing external communications such as investor presentations, earnings calls, AM Best reports, etc.
  • Communicates with reinsurers on calls and in meetings
  • Manages and meets deadlines for multiple projects
  • Takes initiative to answer own questions by referencing internal notes and external resources on the subject prior to asking colleagues for guidance
  • Focuses on quality, pays attention to details, and tests for and identifies potential errors and issues
  • Presents work and findings to internal stakeholders
  • Takes responsibility for development and requests feedback from colleagues
