Summary: Responsible for supporting Value Analysis Program (VAP) functions to include, but not limited to, research, analytics and compliance for supplies, services and equipment. Plans, executes and manages VAP projects under the direction of the Value Analysis Director.

  • Bachelors: Business Administration (Required)
  • Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • At least, one (1) year in a healthcare setting; some knowledge of product management and inventory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
  • Knowledge of medical terminologies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to work in a team setting
  • Some local travel required
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Responsibilities

  • Participates in product evaluations throughout the system; ensures all product evaluations are performed in an objective manner.
  • Works collaboratively with Sourcing Team on evaluating and monitoring initiatives.
  • Prepares accurate and timely reports and presentations related to initiatives brought into the VAP process.
  • Coordinates educational activities related to implementation of new products and services. Collaborates with the Education Department to develop and design an effective educational strategy.
  • Collaborates with the Sourcing, Purchasing and Central Supply Teams on roll-out of initiatives and other pertinent activities.
  • Reviews documents, forms and analytics in preparation for the scheduled VAP meetings or other committees. Manages and maintains VAP calendar.
  • Assists Value Analysis Director in performing daily office operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Under the direction of the Value Analysis Director, performs research on products and services with focus on evidence-based information to ensure quality and clinical efficacy to improve and guide patient care processes.
  • Provides clinical benchmarks, develops timelines, documents results based on decisions made in the VAP, and communicates them appropriately.
