Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight-based vision systems supporting a myriad of defense, surveillance, space, and weather tracking applications. We have an immediate opportunity for a Value Stream Leader. The Value Stream Lead (VSL) is the primary interface between Operations to the program administration team and the lead of the integrated product team for the program operations. This position is responsible for the total program life cycle, from bid/proposal through development/EDM, transition to delivery, production, and depot/sustainment. The VSL will make strategic decisions for the direction of the program related to manufacturing plans and program, including representing the factory in making/buying decisions and technical/producibility trades and Cost Reduction Initiatives. It is imperative the VSL has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the production organization concerned with the assembly and processing operations, including a thorough understanding of manufacturing related policies/procedures and quality and customer requirements. Significant interface with both internal and external customers at Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Gates, EACs, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), and customer visits/tours.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in Engineering, Operations, Programs, Proposals and / or Project Management.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer proficiency with demonstrated ability to learn new software applications.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Management, scheduling, and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems (SAP PRISM)
  • Experience in transition to production programs, supporting in an operations management position of leadership.
  • IPDS Experience and excellent financial acumen
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control budget
  • Estimate at Complete (EAC) development, analysis, and presentation, and understanding and use of Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Support Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) gate activities and administration, including bid and proposal activities and risk and opportunity ownership.
  • Recommend changes in product design, tooling, and manufacturing methods to improve programs.
  • Data analysis with critical thinking and facilitate results through a cross- functional team.
  • Manipulate and process reports and work artifacts with large amounts of data.
  • Strategic and visionary planning, develop relationships and achieve buy-in from all relevant parties.
