Our work depends on Field Technician IV joining our team to ensure MK 41 VLS equipment is maintained and tested to the stringent VLS requirements to maintain National Security. HOW A FIELD TECHNICIAN IV WILL MAKE AN IMPACT ● Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment. ●Will work with GDIT VLS Team to ensure operational status of contracted VLS work is completed to required procedures and specifications. ●Will work with GDIT VLS Team to identify and correct any deficiencies found. ●Will work with a competitive and highly trusted GDIT VLS Team. ●The support the GDIT VLS Team provides ensures both the Fleet and VLS Program are maintained to the highest of standard. ● As a VLS SMT you be expected to be a leader, a mentor, and subject matter expert(SME) will conducting yourself in representing GDIT and our customers.
Requirements
- Required Experience: 5+ years of VLS related experience
- Required Technical Skills: Must have SMT card
- Security Clearance Level: Will require Secret
- Required Skills and Abilities: Hands-on experience with MK41 VLS equipment and previous experience with overhauls in accordance with Intermediate Maintenance Standard (IMS)
- US Citizenship Required
Nice To Haves
- Preferred Skills: Previous shipboard experience, knowledge of operating a forklift, and use of hand and power tools
