Requirements

  • Experienced or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager with a minimum of 1-year management experience preferred or 3+ years veterinary experience preferred knowledgeable in veterinary medicine terminology and how to run a veterinary hospital
  • Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
  • Highly organized and possess computer skills
  • Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
  • Open availability with flexibility to change hours based on hospital’s needs

Responsibilities

  • Manage office operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and staff coordination
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise office staff, including performance management and conflict resolution
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing pet owners' inquiries and resolving complaints promptly
  • Implement and maintain hospital policies, including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA regulations
  • Oversee financial aspects such as inventory management, vendor relationships, and timely payroll processing
  • Coordinate with veterinary staff on patient care procedures and emergency cases
  • Market the hospital to prospective customers and the veterinary community
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper use of veterinary terminology
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the hospital's overall operations and growth
