Pure Paws Hell’s Kitchen is seeking a full-time Practice Manager Who are we looking for? At Pure Paws Veterinary Care of NYC, our team of exceptional veterinarians—Dr. Stephanie Liff, Dr. Ashley Cheung, and Dr. Kathryn Wexler—bring a powerful blend of clinical expertise, compassionate care, and deep commitment to pet wellness. From advanced surgical procedures and internal medicine to personalized wellness plans and Fear Free Certified handling, our DVMs are trusted by pet parents across the city. We’re now seeking a dynamic Practice Manager who shares our passion and can help unlock the full potential of our practice—supporting our doctors, enhancing operations, and fostering a thriving, collaborative environment where pets and people come first.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to balance business needs with team well-being.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Experience interpreting data and using it to inform decisions.
  • Capable of independently formulating and executing plans, while also collaborating effectively with leadership.
  • Previous management experience in a veterinary setting is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations with confidence and composure, even under pressure.
  • Manage scheduling for veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to maintain optimal coverage and workflow.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to uphold high standards of patient care and clinical efficiency.
  • Monitor patient flow and implement strategies to reduce wait times and elevate the client experience.
  • Balance the needs of the business and staff with thoughtful decision-making.
  • Take initiative in identifying problems, formulating solutions, and driving results independently and collaboratively.
  • Design and execute marketing strategies to attract new clients and promote services.
  • Analyze performance metrics and financial reports to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
  • Ensure smooth front desk operations including scheduling, check-in/check-out, and client communications.
  • Address client complaints with empathy and professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities for service recovery.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and empathy.
  • Confidently handle demanding client interactions and resolve concerns with tact and clarity.
  • Develop client retention and outreach initiatives to boost engagement and loyalty.
  • Represent the hospital at community events and foster partnerships with local organizations and referral networks.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility that reflects the hospital’s commitment to excellence.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stocking of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee billing, insurance claims, and client account management.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
