POSITION OVERVIEW The Vice President of Brand & Marketing is responsible for defining, leading, and executing KSL’s brand and marketing strategy across broadcast television, radio, digital media, and marketplace platforms. This role ensures brand consistency, audience trust, revenue alignment, and long-term growth while supporting KSL’s public service mission and commercial objectives. The VP of Brand & Marketing provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and cross-functional partnership to drive audience growth, advertiser demand, and marketplace engagement. This position is an in-person role that requires the employee to work at our Salt Lake City headquarters. Specific hybrid schedules will be determined based on business needs and evaluated by senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the enterprise-wide brand strategy for KSL, ensuring alignment across television, radio, digital products, mobile applications, and marketplace platforms.
  • Serve as the steward of KSL's brand, ensuring consistency, integrity, and audience trust across all internal and external touchpoints.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that support audience growth, advertiser demand, and marketplace performance.
  • Establish go-to-market strategies for new content initiatives, digital products, platform enhancements, and marketplace features.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to support advertiser growth, sponsorships, and cross-platform revenue opportunities.
  • Oversee performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, audience acquisition, SEO, paid media, and analytics.
  • Define, track, and report on marketing KPIs including audience growth, engagement, pipeline contribution, conversion, and ROI.
  • Collaborate with News, Content, Product, Technology, and Marketplace teams to align brand, product, and audience strategies.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives support editorial standards, newsroom integrity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, develop, and evaluate a high-performing marketing and brand organization, including succession planning and talent development.
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and vendor/agency relationships.
  • Present marketing strategy, results, and insights to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.
  • Represent KSL as a brand ambassador within the community and at industry events.
