About The Position

The Vice President of Human Resources (VP, HR) plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the human resources strategy to support business objectives. This position collaborates with executive and senior leadership to ensure the alignment of HR initiatives with overall company objectives.  Provides guidance and leadership to the human resources management team ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services and support to all employees. This role requires strategic thinking and a collaborative and flexible leader who is capable of driving HR excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of CA and Federal employment laws and regulations including SOX compliance
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience presenting to and working with boards of directors and executive leadership teams
  • Must be willing and able to, from time-to-time, travel on behalf of the company. This includes within California, Oregon, and Washington.

Nice To Haves

  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to drive organizational effectiveness, talent management, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, succession planning and organizational design.
  • Oversee the development and execution of recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Implement and enhance onboarding programs to integrate new hires seamlessly into the organization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development through effective training and career development programs.
  • Develop and implement a performance management program that drives employee engagement, productivity, and development.
  • Establish and maintain positive employee relations through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement satisfaction and overall workplace culture.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the organization.
  • Monitor and address employee concerns, fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment.
  • Serve as Compliance Officer for the organization monitoring the CO inbox and hotline.
  • Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and benchmarking data to ensure the competitiveness of our total rewards offerings.
  • Lead the annual performance management and compensation review process, ensuring fairness and equity.
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements including SOX compliance.
  • Mitigate HR-related risks by implementing robust policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to address HR-related legal matters.
  • Leverage HR technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance data-driven decision making.
  • Utilize HR analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
