About The Position

As the Video and Creative Lead, you will lead the strategy and execution of video content that aligns with our brand standards, supports revenue growth, and strengthens our market positioning. As the visual storyteller for our company, you’ll be responsible for pre-production, scripting, filming, editing, managing creative assets across our website, social channels, podcast, and paid ads, analyzing and reporting, and maintaining all video equipment. As the owner of the video strategy in our company, you will set the standard for quality, alignment, and performance, ensuring video is a revenue-driving asset across marketing and sales. You will accomplish technical tasks related to production and post-production. These duties may include the transport, setup, and operation of equipment, and assisting with staging, set preparation, and dressing. These duties will require being in our office in Cheshire, CT up to 3x a week. We are looking for a video professional who understands not only filming and storytelling, but how video drives engagement, leads, and revenue. You will serve as the visual execution partner to marketing leadership and executive vision, translating ideas into compelling, on-brand video content that drives engagement and reduces reliance on reactive feedback cycles. You will own IMPACT’s YouTube channel (including weekly long-form video production, Shorts creation and distribution), and paid video ad campaigns. You will own both the craft and the operational clarity required to produce 3-5 high-quality videos per week consistently, with minimal rework and strong alignment to brand standards. You will collaborate with the marketing team and directly with the CEO to translate executive vision into clear creative direction and final execution, reducing revision cycles through strong pre-production planning and alignment.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Video Editing Software (Adobe Premiere or similar)
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects or Motion is preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus
  • Proficient at storyboarding, scripting, and concepts
  • Understand basic and advanced composition techniques
  • Very detail-oriented and able to identify quality issues in audio and video
  • Proficient interview skills and getting the most out of on-camera talent
  • Experience collaborating directly with executive leadership and translating high-level vision into final creative execution
  • Deep understanding of branding and visual consistency
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce revision cycles through strong pre-production planning
  • Experience with AI tools, specifically familiarity with AI-enhanced video editing software or platforms that incorporate AI functionalities, such as Adobe Sensei or similar tools.
  • Experience owning YouTube strategy and creating performance-driven video ads.
  • AI Literacy: An understanding of AI principles as they apply to video production, including machine learning concepts and their applications in content creation

Responsibilities

  • Consistent filming, production and publishing cadence across our YouTube channel and for our podcast without bottlenecks
  • Thorough shot list and planning for filming at our annual events 2x a year
  • Noticeable improvements in video engagement metrics across our website, social channels, YouTube, and paid ads
  • Strong alignment with brand and quality standards, resulting in fewer revision cycles
  • Proactive planning for filming, scripting, and messaging
  • Sales team actively leveraging video in communications with prospects
  • Clear systems and workflows that allow creative function to run smoothly
  • Growth in YouTube subscribers, watch time, and engagement
  • Paid video ads generating measurable ROI
  • Determine what camera equipment is necessary and obtain equipment if needed
  • Transport, set up, and operate various production equipment, including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production
  • Own and execute the principles of Marcus Sheridan’s Endless Customers (formerly They Ask, You Answer) for video content
  • Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment
  • Use AI to assist in areas of video production, including, but not limited to: leveraging tools, optimizing the production process, automatic color correction, audio enhancements, and smart editing
  • Collect b-roll footage, as well as interviewing appropriate staff and/or clients, and use AI to generate content for use in videos.
  • Collaborate with the content manager and ads specialists to ensure video content is optimized, packaged, and distributed effectively across social platforms.
  • Work closely with sales and services teams to determine video topics and how to prioritize what to film and produce
  • Maintain consistent project management and processes that will allow you to create 3-5 videos a week consistently.
  • Comfortable with being the on-camera talent for our podcast, YouTube, social media, ads, and website videos
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts and prepare them for being on-camera
  • Create, upload, optimize, and report on both long-form and shorts content for our YouTube channel
  • Deep understanding of YouTube retention strategy, packaging (hooks/titles/thumbnails), and analytics-driven iteration.
  • Own all aspects of production, including, but not limited to: Pre-production scripting and collaboration, Production setup, execution, and striking, Post-production editing and publication
  • Reporting on the effectiveness of video content
  • Maintain our video hosting platform and best practices
  • Stay up to date on the latest video technologies, how to use them, and own the implementation of them in our company
