About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and mission-driven Videographer to join the Media and Marketing Team. This role is responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content that tells the stories of life change happening across HIA’s programs, events, and community. The ideal candidate brings strong technical videography skills, a creative eye, and a genuine heart for ministry—someone who understands that behind every piece of content is a real person whose story deserves to be told with care, dignity, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience in videography, preferably within a nonprofit, ministry, or mission-driven organization
  • Portfolio of past work demonstrating storytelling ability, editing quality, and range of content
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong attention to detail with a developed eye for aesthetics, pacing, and audience engagement
  • Ability to work both independently as a solo videographer and collaboratively across teams
  • Willingness to incorporate AI tools into the editing and production workflow
  • Commitment to working on-site and being present within the HIA team culture

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Sony FX camera systems
  • Proficiency in After Effects or other post-production software
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects
  • Experience with live streaming platforms and production workflows
  • Experienced in cinematic color grading
  • Proficient in vertical, social media style editing
  • Background in communications, marketing, design, or a related field
  • Familiarity with nonprofit or ministry sector storytelling and donor communications
  • Experience filming in emotionally sensitive environments with appropriate discretion and care

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute video shoots, including setup of lighting, audio, and camera equipment
  • Operate, maintain, and manage video production equipment
  • Edit footage into compelling, ministry-appropriate content for digital platforms, events, and fundraising
  • Capture and tell the stories of program graduates, staff, donors, and ministry partners with sensitivity and excellence
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally with Development, Programs, and Leadership to develop and execute video concepts aligned with organizational goals
  • Conduct on-camera interviews with individuals in recovery and ministry stakeholders
  • Manage live streaming for events, services, and ministry gatherings
  • Organize and maintain video archives and media asset libraries
  • Produce content on deadline while maintaining quality standards
  • Travel to HIA program sites across the six-state region as needed to capture stories and events
