(2 hours); Chicago (5 hours); and Omaha, Neb. (4 hours). The Visiting faculty member will contribute to the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics, teaching a 2-3-1 load, including mathematics and general education courses, mentoring students, and giving a public presentation based on their research. This is an ideal position for an early career educator, awarded the PhD within the past two years or ABD, interested in teaching in a liberal arts environment. A faculty mentor will be assigned, and the fellow will participate in our comprehensive faculty development program. This is a one-year position.

Requirements

  • Master’s or equivalent degree in mathematics or a closely aligned field
  • Successful candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to support the College’s mission and contribute to the strategic plan.

Responsibilities
