About The Position

This is a part-time, temporary position ending on September 27, 2026. Must have the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Why You’ll Love This Position: During your work, you will welcome, admit, and direct guests while ensuring the start of a positive visitor experience. Sell admission tickets and handle cash and credit card transactions in an accurate and professional manner. Provide information to visitors either in person or on the phone regarding Garden sites, attractions, special events, classes, and other information that the visitor may require. Provide first-level resolution to customer issues. Promote the mission of the Missouri Botanical Garden. Paid training will be provided to ensure you are ready and prepared to enjoy the visitors of The Missouri Botanical Garden. What You’ll Do (Highlights): Process ticket purchases using a Point of Sale (POS) ticketing system or web order entries Issue, void, or transfer balance to MBG gift cards. Provide Garden information to all visitors. Respond to incoming guest inquiries via phone and email. Responsible for driving and alternately narrating tram tours. Authorize and perform ticket refunds and exchanges. Investigate and troubleshoot online, onsite, and telephone ticketing issues. What You Need For Success Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must have the ability to pass a background screening and motor vehicle report (MVR) to meet minimum insurance underwriting criteria. Experience working with the public is beneficial. Ability to communicate with the public by phone and in person. Ability to multitask in what can be a fast-paced environment at times. Ability to lift 30-60 pounds. Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions outdoors and indoors. Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
